Martha V. Ball writes to Amos A. Phelps about notes from meetings of the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society from Jan 13, 1836 and April 13, 1836 as well as from January 2, 1840. She references William Lloyd Garrison and states, "Voted that $50 be presented to our esteemed friend W.L. Garrison as a testimony of our regard & as an expressive of our sympathy with him in his disgraceful treatment in the late riot." She also mentions Benjamin Lundy but does not finish her sentence at the end of the letter.
