Howland says the publishing committee of the Society of Antiquity has decided to publish Oliver Johnson's review of Eli Thayer's book immediately. He discusses the number of copies to be printed and asks if Charles Devens marched Anthony Burns under escort of the United States Marines to the slave ship. Howland says he thinks the biographical sketch of Oliver Johnson in his review should be longer.
