Samuel Joseph May writes to Theodore Parker in regards to his invitation to lecture before the Salem Lyceum and in this Anti-Slavery Course at Portland and his desire to lecture in five or six more places. He has not yet published certain volumes of his works but will send them when he can. In a lecture last Saturday, he found many who enjoyed Parker's sermons, who "remember your words with...gladdened hearts." He heard praise of William H. Fisk's sermon last Sunday. He urges him to "be cautious, grandfather!!"
