Hill, Henry Tyler
Henry Tyler Hill was a teacher at Theodore Roosevelt High School (Kent, Ohio) and a Kent resident in 1970. He describes the student unrest at the high school, the school's response to bomb threats they had received and to the May 4, 1970, shootings at nearby Kent State University. He also describes the panic that resulted from the phone lines being dead the day of the shootings. He describes Kent State University students packing and leaving town as well as the military trucks, helicopters, policemen, and FBI personnel he saw.
