Mary Anne Estlin writes to Francis Jackson Garrison regarding his visit to her and when she can meet him during his travels. She includes a warm letter from "Edmund Jones, who was in Bristol addressing a series of meetings & staying at my house, when the Conference took place at the Memorial Hall." He writes that this man has wanted to meet William Garrison for the last thirty years, "having early been brought into sympathy with the American A.S. cause." She thanks him for the Edinburgh Newcastle papers he sent her. She tells her lack of recollection on a meeting held years ago by Professor Nichol but believes Eliza Wigham was there. She writes, "All I remember is two letters from him in the local papers speaking unpleasantly of Mrs. Butler & the Cause she advocates."
