William Lloyd Garrison is glad that Robert Purvis received a copy of "the very striking heliotype likeness of our dear departed George Thompson." Harper's Weekly will publish this picture of George Thompson in its columns. Garrison condemns the policy of President Rutherford B. Hayes for disenfranchising colored voters in the South.
